My students at all levels should expect a project very soon, within the next few weeks I would say, about Muggle theatre. I see there's a need in the curriculum.

As often as I'd sometimes like to say 'I really would like to kill someone', I've had a steady stream of muggleborn students through my office in the last hour crying because they're worried that they'll be Crucioed in the hallways by your wards, now. I'm not as disturbed by that as by the students who aren't sure what's happening with their parents and families being reminded that Unforgiveables exist.
I'm certain you're having as much a headache?

Private to Professor McGonagall, other Professors can Read
Minerva, I've just returned from the trip to visit the family of Mr William. I daresay I understand quite a bit more about why the boy is as he is - if I had that family... Well, that's beside the point. Would you be at all averse to my taking over the boy's situation? I think I might have an idea of how to help him, now that I've seen the guardians.

Private to Faculty and Staff
There's rumour that one of our students has started a book club in their House. I think it might be nice if we took a lesson from their book, for once. Perhaps a book club for the faculty, for those who would be interested, of course.

Well, I'm done being a coward. Though I doubt this last article will be published - I delivered it myself, and Cuffe didn't particularly seem all that interested in it, this time around. Something about things being too 'up in the air' at the moment. All that worrying for nothing.

Students in my NEWT level courses - soon you'll be engaged in a partnered assignment. As the class is quite small, I will consider allowing you to choose your own partners. When you come in Monday, you should have an idea of who it is you would like to work with and submit your idea of an appropriate partnership to me for approval.

Does anyone realize that our students seem to have no self-control whatsoever? I hadn't realized that these journals would lower my estimation of them so dramatically. There's a reason we aren't meant to know what they're thinking, I've come to understand.

I should remind my NEWT level students that your essays will be due the first day of class. And, to those students who I'm getting for the very first time, this is going to be an exciting year! Be sure you have all the required books listed with your Hogwarts letter. We'll be diving right in to Life of Muggles, and we'll keep a running pace from there.

Still no news about Bathsheba. I hate it, but I'm imagining the worst - so are we all, I'm guessing. After those owls that came last term, and then the deliveries this summer, I can't help thinking that this might have been someone looking for me. Or sending me a message. Foolishness, I hope. God, let her be locked away in research somewhere. Obliviated and wandering the back alleys of London would be better than in the hands of whoever sent me that tongue.
Two more weeks. I've missed my whole summer worrying.

These are just brilliant. A bit like quite a few muggle technologies which I'm sure at least some of our students are aware of.
Of course, since these were listed with your Hogwarts' suggested supplies, I doubt most professors will be requiring anything with them. I do think it will be a nice way for us to remind you of your lessons, though. A few notes each time there's an essay due with a reminder how many inches of parchment are required, that sort of thing? Wonderful time saver when every time I assign something, half of my class has to come for the same sort of reminder during my office hours!

Private to Hogwarts Professors
One of the students, Miss Perks, has had an idea about a lecture series for the 7th years regarding basic living - how to let a flat or fill out a job application, those types of things. Some of these subjects are covered in the Muggle Studies curriculum, but of course so few take that at NEWT level that most of the 7th form students won't be exposed to it.
I rather think this is a good idea, though I would reserve it for closer to the end of the year. Perhaps final quarter? Does anyone have an opinion? I'll be setting an idea of the schedule to present to the Headmaster once term begins.
